Comfortable Smiles

Laughing Gas for Little Smiles

The most mild form of sedation, nitrous oxide—often called laughing gas or minimally inhaled sedation—is a gentle and safe way to help your child feel calm and comfortable during their dental visit. Your child breathes the gas through a small, scented mask, which helps ease anxiety and create a relaxed, happy feeling throughout the procedure. It works quickly, wears off fast, and allows your child to remain awake and responsive the entire time, making their experience smoother and more positive.

General Anesthesia for Severe Anxiety

General anesthesia is used for certain dental procedures that require extra care and a deeper level of sedation. A specially trained anesthesia provider and medical team closely monitor your child throughout the procedure, supporting their breathing and vital signs to ensure safety at all times. While under general anesthesia, your child will be fully asleep, meaning they won’t feel any discomfort or remember the treatment afterward. This allows the dental team to complete the procedure smoothly while your child rests peacefully, safe and well cared for from start to finish.
